Challenge

Telenet is constantly hiring for its contact centers. The real question: where do you keep finding the right people?

As their long-term employer branding partner, it’s our job to keep opening new doors. This time, we tapped into a completely new talent pool, and found the right hook to make them bite.

Who are we looking for?

Together with the client, we identified a valuable target group: people with life experience. They tend to stay longer. They bring reliability. We split this experienced audience into two segments: (re)starters who’ve been out of the workforce for a while and career switchers, for example in administrative roles, ready for something new.

Encourage and reassure

Two barriers stood in the way. First, experienced candidates are less likely to switch jobs. Second, beyond strong social and commercial skills, they need enough tech confidence to explain Telenet’s services properly.

Our role? Reassure them. Show them that at Telenet, the guidance and training are so strong that confidence follows naturally.

Three social media posts on a smartphone screen feature people holding signs with text about customer support and teamwork, in a modern office setting.

“Am I not too old?”

We addressed the real questions running through their minds: How do I start again? Are my computer skills still up to date? Am I too old for this?

In social videos, colleague Sabrina, our Workhappy Coach, answers them head-on. In phase two, Sabrina takes a seat on the Coach Couch, having open, honest conversations with people who already made the switch. Because sometimes, the push you need is simply someone saying: you’ve got this.
